GoPicnic review and giveaway!

GoPicnic kindly sent me two meals to try and is offering a product giveaway for you!

I received the Hummus + Crackers All Natural Meal and the Turkey Pepperoni + Cheese Classic Deli Meal. Both were delicious!

Here are the details of my meals:

The Hummus + Crackers Meal contained Wild Garden Hummus Dip, Crunchmaster Multi-Seed Crackers, Seapoint Farms Dry Roasted Edamame, Sweet Perry Orchards Baja Blend Fruit & Nut Mix and a Terra Nostra Organic Dark Chocolate Square.

24g Protein • 12g Fiber • 410 Calories

This meal was very good and nice and high in protein. I enjoyed the depth of flavors that were in the hummus and the fruit and nut mix.The crackers are just perfect with the hummus, the edamame were good, and the chocolate was the perfect ending to this meal. It kept my mouth dancing and made my stomach happy! This is the perfect size for a quick lunch on the go.

The Turkey Pepperoni + Cheese Meal contained Bridgford Turkey Pepperoni Slices, Crunchmaster Multi-Seed Crackers, Copper Cowbell Asiago Gourmet Cheese Spread, Mariani Dried Cranberries & Pineapple and Brown & Haley Almond Roca Buttercrunch Toffee.

12g Protein • 2g Fiber • 290 Calories

This meal was delicious! My 7 year old joined me in eating this meal and loved it. The combination of the spiciness of the pepperoni, the creaminess of the cheese, and the saltiness of the crackers made this the perfect meal. The dried fruit added a wonderful sweetness and was so good! Adding the toffee to finish the meal was divine! This was one of three meals that we decided to order by the case to add to our 72 hour kits, although we chose to order the larger Turkey Pepperoni + Cheese: Picnic Meal.

We decided that these were the perfect addition to our 72 hour kits and they are much lighter than the beef stew and chili that we were previously packing. Look for an updated 72 hour kit post soon!

I saw and purchased some of these meals at the gluten free food fair in Chicago. Unfortunately, the almond roka, the dark chocolate square, the pop chips and other products in each meal were made on equipment shared with wheat. I wouldn't trust these meals and am researching each individual component prior to even considering eating them. It's a pity too, becuase it IS a good idea.

Hi! I found your blog doing some gluten-free research for a client of mine, Roundy's Supermarkets, and would love to reach out to you with some information. Roundy's is slowly but surely dedicating more of their energy to support the gluten-free diet and we'd love to share our information as well as get your feedback. Do you have an email I can reach you at?
